Greet Vandebriel

Greet Vandebriel, MD, MPH, is the deputy country director and tuberculosis (TB)/HIV integration advisor at ICAP Rwanda.

Dr. Vandebriel has more than 10 years experience providing clinical health care in Africa, serving for five years as a medical practitioner responsible for pediatric and maternity wards at the General Reference Hospital in Walungu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, for five years as a resident technical advisor to the Ministry of Health in Rwanda responsible for integration of TB and HIV programs and services for both ICAP and the Damien Foundation. Most recently, Dr Vandebriel has served as the deputy country director for programs for ICAP Rwanda.

Dr. Vandebriel’s technical expertise includes program integration; development and revision of policies and guidelines, including clinical protocols, training materials, data collection instruments, and monitoring and evaluation tools; capacity building in technical planning, management and evaluation of integrated TB and HIV/AIDS activities; and program design and evaluation.  

Dr. Vandebriel holds a master's degree in public health and a diploma in tropical medicine from the Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium.
