Nancy Briggs
Nancy Briggs, MA, is an ICAP clinical implementation officer. In this role, she supports the implementation of the Pediatric Centers of Excellence in Zambia as well as the implementation of HIV care and treatment at other ICAP-supported sites in various countries. She also will be working on the development of an HIV care and treatment implementation toolbox for use in assessing and evaluating ICAP-supported HIV care and treatment sites.
Before joining ICAP, Nancy was a program coordinator at Harlem Hospital. She also was an investigator for the Partnership for Family Health, Harlem Hospital’s Ryan White-funded comprehensive care and treatment program for women and children with HIV infection. She also served as clinic coordinator for the Family Care Center Program, Harlem Hospital’s Pediatric HIV program which provides multidisciplinary care and treatment to HIV infected women, children and families. Nancy also gasbeen a trainer for ICAP-supported MTCT-Plus programs in Zambia and Kenya and, most recently, has been supporting the implementation of the ICAP-supported Pediatric Centers of Excellence in Zambia.
Nancy earned a master's degree in health education from Columbia University Teachers College and bachelor's degree in black studies from the Herbert H. Lehman College of the City University of New York.
