Emilia Udofia
Emilia Udofia, MD, is regional clinical advisor for ICAP Nigeria in Akwa Ibom State. Her responsibilities include providing technical support to health facilities in delivering HIV/AIDS care and treatment services for women, their partners and children.
Before joining ICAP, Dr. Udofia was a lecturer in community health at the University of Uyo and an honorary consultant at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital where she worked in the antiretroviral therapy clinic and served as a residency training coordinator and focal person for sexually transmitted infections management. Dr. Udofia has worked as a trainer in HIV counseling and testing with UNICEF and the National Agency for Control of AIDS.
Dr. Udofia holds a first degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Lagos. She is a fellow of the National Post graduate Medical College of Nigeria and was recently appointed a member of the Board of Directors, Network of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS in Akwa Ibom State.
