Emmanuel Udeh
Emmanuel Ochigbo Udeh, MSc, is the regional monitoring and evaluation advisor for Benue State.
Before joining ICAP, Emmanuel was a national surveillance officer for the Human Pandemic Avian Influenza Control Project, a World Bank-assisted project of the Federal Ministry of Health. His responsibilities included contact tracing and surveillance of suspected outbreaks, monitoring and evaluation of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AH5N1) among human populations, and training of health workers on integrated disease surveillance and response. Emmanuel was also a central facilitator at the National Programme on Immunization where he was responsible for capacity building, as well as monitoring, evaluation and supervision of supplemental immunization activities.
Emmanuel holds a master’s of science degree in applied entomology and parasitology and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Jos, Nigeria. His current research focus is HIV/AIDS opportunistic infections, a topic on which he has published.
