Bashiru Olasupo

Bashiru Olasupo, MILR, MA, is the community network coordinator for ICAP-Nigeria in Ogoja and is responsible for the implementation of network referral linkages and coordination of community-based services and resources.

Before joining ICAP, Bashiru was a project officer with Friedrich Ebert Foundation where he designed and implemented projects on HIV/AIDS for the Trade Unions in Nigeria. Later he became an non-governmental organization training manager with Creative Associates International on the USAID/ COMPASS Project. Over the years, he has been actively involved in advocacy issues and mobilizing communities for active participation in local government administration.

Bashiru holds master’s degrees in peace and conflict studies from the University of Ibadan and in industrial and labour relations from the University of Lagos. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and literature from the University of Benin.
