Abiola Aomreore


Abiola Aomreore, MD, is the central clinical advisor – pediatrics for ICAP Nigeria. In this position, she provides technical guidance and clinical expertise to regional implementation teams in pediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment.

Dr. Aomreore joined ICAP from Maitama District Hospital where she was head of pediatrics unit and coordinator of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in collaboration with the international donor agency GHAIN.  Before working at Maitama Hospital, she was head of the pediatrics department at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State of Nigeria.

Dr. Aomreore obtained a bachelor of medicine and surgery degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and later trained as a pediatrician at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. She is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians in Paediatrics and also an international fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
