Isabelle Yersin

Isabelle Yersin, nurse, is a program officer responsible for the management of the pMTCT model center program in Mozambique. Before working at ICAP, Isabelle worked at Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF), where she managed a comprehensive AIDS program in a low resource setting, including HAART provision, PMTCT and home-based care. For 12 years, she worked at MSF as both a nurse and medical program manager for conflict-affected or emergency-affected populations (natural catastrophes, epidemics, and refugee camps), and primary health care programs, especially focused on improving MCH practices and introducing the Bamako Initiative.

Isabelle holds the following degrees: Certificate of Tropical Medicine Institute, Antwerpen, Belgium; Diploma of Public Health, Henry Poincarré University, France; and is currently studying for a Diploma in Health Systems Management by distance learning, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
