Anna Scardigli

Anna Scardigli, MD, specialist in infectious diseases, works as the TB/HIV technical advisor for the integration of HIV and TB programs at ICAP-supported sites in Mozambique.

Before joining ICAP, Anna worked in the Great Lakes Region of Africa, initially as a clinician in a rural Hospital in Burundi, then as health advisor for VCT/PMTCT implementation for a project funded by AVSI and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uganda and Rwanda. Anna has training in several TB clinics in different epidemiological contexts, from Latin America to Eastern Europe, and she attended WHO advanced courses for Consultants in DOTS and TB management, as well as for Program Managers on TB/HIV collaborative activities.

Anna obtained her degree in medicine and surgery at the medical faculty of the University of Studies of Verona (Italy). She reached the title of specialist in infectious diseases after a four-year training at the infectious diseases division at the same university.
