Larissa Polejack Brambatti
Larissa Polejack Brambatti is the technical advisor for adherence and psychosocial support for ICAP-Mozambique. She is a clinical psychologist and has been practicing community psychology since 1990. She has extensive experience in group, family, and conjugal counseling.
Previously, she worked with PLWHA at the Hospital of the University of Brasília, where she was responsible for psychological support, counseling, and follow up in the clinical wards. She also has experience in providing psychological care to HIV-positive inmates. Larissa worked for the National STI/AIDS Program at the Brazilian Ministry of Health, as a technical advisor to the Training and Personnel and Institutional Development Unit. She was responsible for the national training strategy and for training Ministry of Health staff in HIV/AIDS-related topics. Most recently, Larissa worked in the Treatment and Care Unit as part of the team that developed national assistance policy for persons living with HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections, primarily in the areas of treatment adherence, mental health, and psychological assistance for discordant couples.
Larissa holds master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Brasilia, with a focus on HIV/AIDS.
