Doris Odera
Doris Odera is capacity building advisor at ICAP-Kenya.
Doris has extensive experience in the field of HIV programming. Before joining ICAP, she worked for the Catholic Medical Mission Board, a non-governmental faith-based organization implementing HIV prevention, care and treatment activities, where she held positions as the acting country director, deputy country director, and director of programs. She has also worked for the National AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections Control Program as a senior program officer for the antiretroviral therapy (ART) program. At NASCOP, she was instrumental in the development and roll-out of the ART program in Kenya, the first ART policy guidelines, ART national guidelines, ART manual for health care providers, national ART training curriculum for health care providers, and ART communication strategy.
Doris holds a diploma in clinical medicine and surgery and a higher diploma in epidemiology from the Kenya Medical Training College, bachelor of science in health sciences, and a master’s degree in public health (epidemiology). She is currently pursuing a doctorate in epidemiology.
