Esther Muigai
Esther Muigai is an infant diagnosis program officer for ICAP Kenya.
Esther has many years experience in maternity and pediatric nursing. She has been a clinical instructor and held the rank of nurse manager. Before joining ICAP, she served as a project officer for the International Centre for Reproductive Health overseeing a prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV program at the Kenyan coast. She has also led a team investigating the efficacy of chlorohexidine lavage in reducing MTCT of HIV.
A Kenyan registered nurse and midwife, Esther earned a higher diploma in counseling and holds a graduate diploma in project management from Cambridge University. In addition, she has completed national training in PMTCT and pediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment. She is also an early infant diagnosis trainer.
