Esther Muigai

Esther Muigai is an early infant diagnosis coordinator for ICAP Kenya.

Esther has many years experience in maternity and pediatric nursing. She has been a clinical instructor and hold the rank of matron. Before joining ICAP, she served as a project officer for the International Centre for Reproductive Health overseeing a prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV program at the Kenyan coast.  She has also led a team investigating the efficacy of chlorohexidine lavage in reducing MTCT of HIV.

A Kenyan registered nurse and midwife, Esther earned a higher diploma in counseling. She completed her national training in PMTCT and pediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
