Beatrice Gathendu

Beatrice Gathendu is a training coordinator at ICAP Kenya. In this role, she provides support for planning and conducting trainings with the Kenyan Ministry of Health.

Before joining ICAP, Beatrice worked as assistant to the medical coordinator at Médecins Sans Frontières covering HIV/AIDS projects in Homa Bay and Mathare. She oversaw training of health care providers and implementation activities in the nutrition and counseling departments. She has also worked as an antiretroviral therapy (ART) program officer with the National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP) and was part of the team involved in introducing ART to public health care settings.

Beatrice holds a diploma in clinical medicine & surgery and has certificates in adult and pediatric HIV management. She is currently pursuing a degree in health sciences & counseling psychology.
