Christiane Adjé-Touré, PhD

Christiane Adje-Toure, PhD, is a technical advisor to the director of the National Reference Laboratory at ICAP's Rwanda office. She holds a PhD in molecular biology from the Catholic University of Belgium and has six years of experience in molecular virology (HIV/AIDS).

Before joining ICAP, Christiane was head of the laboratory of virology of Projet Retroci, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lab in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, where she monitored and evaluated HIV drug resistance and Highly Active Antiretroviral Treatment. The project Retroci laboratory worked closely with the Department of Infectious disease of the University Teaching Hospital of Treichville, in Abidjan. Christiane has also conducted research projects with IRD-Montpellier, Emory University, CDC and the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
