TITLE: Senior Logistics Advisor
LOCATION: Lesotho
OVERALL JOB FUNCTION:
GRANT FUNDED
The International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) is seeking a Senior Logistics Advisor who will be a part of the ICAP advisory team and serve as the primary liaison to support the Lesotho Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) to strengthen their TB and HIV related laboratory, drugs, commodities, and equipment logistics system. The Senior Logistics Advisor will provide technical assistance to the MOHSW supporting TB and HIV programs, but primarily focused on strengthening logistics systems for essential public health medicines, medical supplies and improving supply chain management practices. The commodities include but are not limited to laboratory reagents, assays, and equipment; condoms; anti-TB drugs and related commodities; ARVs and drugs for opportunistic infections (OIs); HIV test kits and a range of essential medicines and medical supplies to be included in a TB and HIV primary-care package. Candidate will also perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-graduate degree in public health, public administration, logistics or equivalent.
• Knowledge/experience of procurement procedures and equipment/supply/stock tracking and inventory.
• Significant work experience in public health programs, health commodity logistics, and/or supply-chain strengthening.
• Experience with lab-related data management systems preferred.
• Minimum 2 years developing country experience, preferably in managing a public health program funded by an international development agency.
• Experience working with government, private, and non-governmental organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
