TITLE: Senior Laboratory Advisor

The International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) is seeking a Senior Laboratory Advisor who will provide support and strengthen human resource capacity needed for high-quality laboratory services for HIV, TB, MDRTB, and TB/HIV-coinfection care and treatment services. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW), the Senior Laboratory Advisor will provide direction and coordination to the ICAP laboratory technical support team to strengthen Lesotho’s laboratory network and services through capacity building and ongoing quality assurance. The senior laboratory advisor will also provide support in developing and/or refining guidelines and protocols for laboratory services and perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree in a relevant scientific field.
• 5+ years of experience managing a clinical or research laboratory.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in design, implementation and management of laboratory services in HIV, TB, MDR TB and HIV/TB-coinfection programs.
• Knowledge/experience of procurement procedures and equipment/supply/stock tracking and inventory.
• Experience with lab-related data management systems.
• High level of proficiency in relevant computer applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
